Mochi helps you log meals, weight, workouts, and photo memories. This policy explains what data the app handles and how. Mochi is built to keep your information on your own device.
The following stays on your device (using Apple's on-device storage) and is not uploaded to us — we operate no account system and no server that stores your personal data:
Deleting the app removes this data from your device. You can also delete individual entries within the app.
When you scan a meal, the photo you capture or choose is sent to our AI provider, Anthropic, to estimate the food and its nutrition. The photo is used only to generate that estimate and is not stored by us. See Anthropic's Privacy Policy.
When you search the food database, your search text is sent to Edamam to return matching nutrition information. See Edamam's terms for how they handle requests.
With your permission, Mochi can read active/burned energy and body weight from Apple Health, and write body weight and energy back to it. This data is handled under Apple's HealthKit rules, stays in your Apple Health store / on your device, and is never sold or shared with third parties.
Mochi Premium is sold through Apple's App Store. Purchases and renewals are handled by Apple — we do not receive or store your payment details.
If you enable reminders, they are scheduled locally on your device. No data is sent to us to deliver them.
Mochi contains no third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs. We do not build profiles of you or sell any data.
Mochi is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data from them.
If this policy changes, we'll update the date above and post the new version here.
